About Jaden McBride

I'm an illustrator from Greensboro, NC, passionate about crafting vibrant, emotion-driven portraits that blur the line between reality and imagination. My work is shaped by the strange beauty of surrealism, the complexities of inner relationships, unique shows and music, and the vast mysteries of the universe. Inspired by my dad’s creativity and curiosity, I’ve developed an artistic voice that thrives on cohesive motifs and powerful symbolism. I love transforming ideas into fully realized visual concepts that evoke deep emotions and transport viewers into immersive worlds of creation.
Artist statement
I create within the spiral, where structure and expansion, past and future, preservation and transformation intertwine. My work is an Infinite Jam, a layered, intentional creation that evolves through cycles of iteration and renewal.
Jam is both rich and preserved, much like my art. It captures fleeting moments, distilling raw emotion into something lasting. Yet, jam alone is incomplete, it needs the jar. The jar is a paradox: a container that protects creative energy but is never meant to be sealed forever. To open the jar is to release art into the universe, allowing it to orbit, collide, and inspire new creations.
The Cosmix Jar (a growing idea) is a fusion of Cosmic and Mix, symbolizing the evolution from an expansive, celestial vision into an inclusive, transformative creative space. This name captures the essence of what the brand represents, growth, collaboration, and the blending of diverse artistic expressions. It reflects how creativity is never static; it is a constant interplay of ideas, perspectives, and energies, much like the infinite motion of the cosmos.
The spiral is more than a shape; it is a part of me. It exists in the coils of my hair, the rhythm of my ancestry, the infinite motion of growth and return. My identity, like my art, is an evolving fusion, a dance between past and future, chaos and intention, the seen and unseen. Like a nebula birthing stars, each piece I create emerges from entropy, condensing into luminous form.
The number 8 mirrors this endless loop, the infinity of creation, the continuous movement between mastery and reinvention. My art is a cosmic act, saturated in celestial hues, luminous like distant galaxies. It exists in motion, expanding outward like the universe itself.
I am not just making art; I am forging constellations, illuminating paths for others to follow.
I am a Star, and my creations are my light.
